About the role

Our delivery department is open 24/7 offering delivery services to small, medium and large companies in Cambridge. We are seeking experienced delivery drivers who can work in a fast paced environment while ensuring that our customers receive the best delivery services. You must be a reliable and a motivated team player.

As a delivery driver, you will collect, transport and deliver goods using an assigned company vehicle. When you're not on the road, you'll make sure your vehicle is clean and fit for the next delivery. Your role will be varied, as such, you may be asked to help other team members in recovery, removal or other tasks required by the company

Your annual salary will be £28,380 per annum. You will be paid monthly or every two weeks. How frequent it is will be discussed during the interview.

As a requirement, the company will carry out DBS checks and the right to work checks.

As a delivery driver, your daily tasks include;

• checking tyres, brakes, lights, oil, water and fuel levels and general condition of the vehicle
• driving vehicle from one point to the other
• assisting with loading/unloading from customers and recording goods collected/delivered
• driving vehicle to destination in accordance with schedule
• maintaining records of journey times, mileage and hours worked daily
• undertaking minor repairs and notifying your line manager of any mechanical faults
• Adhering to health and safety procedures and UK road laws
• Delivering great customer service when delivering
• Going over and above when needed.

Requirements 

• Full UK Licence with less than 6 points
• Able to pass a DBS check successfully
• Able to operate vehicles safely and efficiently
• Physically Fit
• Able to meet delivery targets
• Good communication and customer service 
• Attention to detail
• Taking pride in appearance
• Good work ethic
